A CELEBRATION OF CHRISTMAS
The BBWR held its annual Christmas Concert on Saturday, December 19th, at Montrose Zion United Methodist Church.  The packed church heard BBWR, playing on top form, present several seasonal favorites including The Proclamation of Christmas (Bulla), Christmas Calypso (Graham), Who Is He? (Hanby arr Phillips), featuring cornet soloist, Scott Purdum, positioned at the back of the sanctuary, and the Irving Berlin classic, White Christmas.  The percussion section of the band, who were kept busy all night, were featured heavily in Yule Dance, a Riverdance-style number featuring several Christmas tunes.

Joining BBWR were Summit Bells (directed by Chuck Kobb) and Field High School Concert Choir (Katie Wilkinson-Kirby) who added a great deal of variety to the program, both groups performing their seasonal items exceptionally well.  They joined forces with BBWR for the concluding item, A Christmas Fantasy (Langford).  The concert was held together by announcer, Mrs Audrey Wilkinson and the evening's proceeds will benefit The Salvation Army in Summit County.
